A clinical services review on the length of stay in hospitals, occupancy rates and day surgery vs patient surgery continues for Grey Bruce Health services.
Interim President and CEO Maureen Solecki says a final report on how the local hospitals compare with other centres, and what efficiencies can be found won’t be out until April.
Solecki says with GBHS facing a more than four million dollar deficit in the year ending March 31st, they have to find any savings they can.
The Hospital CEO is hopefull that no services will have to be cut but admits everything is on the table.
This latest review of the hospitals in Grey Bruce Health services, was ordered by the southwest local health integration network.
Maureen Solecki believes the goal is to get a clear picture on where the hospitals fair in relation to the provincial averages and whether any savings can be found.
Solecki says this years’ deficit will carry over to next year so efficiencies are needed for 2009-2010.
