The Mayor of Huron-Kinloss says any discussions between the township and property owners concerned about the health effects from wind turbines isn’t about meeting behind closed doors.
Mitch Twolan says it’s simply about possibly meeting with the affected parties to decide if anything should be done about their concerns.
Twolan says the possibility of discussions taking place is still remote.
He says he’s heard rumours that the province might be taking over the responsibility of dealing with residents concerned about wind turbines.
Twolan says council has already discussed the issue and could meet with the parties involved at some point in time, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Several residents of Huron-Kinloss recently appeared before council stating the wind turbines are causing health problems and are asking for the municipality to get involved.
