A successful job fair in Saugeen Shores last Saturday, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
Community Relations Co-Ordinator Sally Hunt says about 300 people took advantage of the fair on Saturday where 17 different employers were on hand.
Jobs are available in everything from retail, grocery, and seasonal construction, to lawn care, financial planning, and the restaurant industry.
Hunt says those who took in the fair came from varying walks of life.
She spoke to single moms who’ve been out of the workforce for years – looking to see what’s out there, along with those of course, unemployed for other reasons.
Hunt also says there were many retired residents looking to see what’s available – should they want to take up some casual work in the future.
Employers accepted resumes from those in attendance.
