More than two dozen icefishers are facing charges after the OPP and Ministry of Natural Resources officers spent the weekend patrolling the ice of Georgian Bay.
On Saturday and Sunday — Conservation Officers, OPP based in Midland were on the ice checking fishers’ catch and licences.
26 charges were laid and 63 warnings issued.
Four of the charges were connected to fishing, the rest were for alcohol offences, or were related to off-road vehicles.
