Collingwood’s battle over Ethanol is on hold for a few months.
Public nuisance charges against Collingwood Ethanol were slated to be heard this month, but the trial has been delayed.
The town says it has collected the necessary statements from homeowners near the plant.
But the Attorney General’s office hasn’t released the necessary paperwork from the Ministry of the Environment for the charges to be heard.
A new date for the hearing is June 8th.
The town has asked for Collingwood Ethanol to be declared a public nuisance based on the noise and smells that come from it.
The plant is currently under a Ministry of the Environment Director’s order to clean up or be shut down.
