A deal has been struck between Grey Roots Museum in Owen Sound and the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton on shared memberships.
Manager of Grey Roots Brian Manser says the reciprocal agreement allows anyone taking out a new membership in Grey Roots to become a member at the Bruce County Museum for no extra charge.
It is the same for anyone join the Bruce County Museum, with them also becoming a member at Grey Roots.
Manser says both museums charge the same amount for admissions and memberships so it seems like a good fit.
He says the two museums have plenty to offer and in tough economic times it is great they can offer families a deal like this.
Mitch Twolan, the Mayor of Huron-Kinloss and Bruce County Museum Chair adds, they are pleased to be a part of the project.
Twolan says in this day and age, all Museums have an obligation to not only act as the protector and conservator of our history and culture, but also show leadership in creating innovative partnerships which benefit their visitors.
