The Meaford Curling Club will be an active spot Wednesday through Saturday.
The Ontario Masters Curling Championships for men and for women will be staged.
There are eight rinks in each division.
In the men’s division, the Bob Storey rink from Elmvale is in the field
Dale Keaveney of the Meaford Curling Club believes Storey’s entry will be very competitive, but he thinks the favorite going into the 4 day affair is Axel Larsen from Guelph.
The women’s division is considered to be wide open with Wendy Simpson of K.W. Granite being the closest rink to our region.
Keaveney says the Meaford club has plenty of experience hosting Ontario Championships and he expects this one to be good for the curlers, the club and for the community of Meaford.
Play starts in the men’s division Wednesday at 12 Noon.
The first draw in the women’s division is at 4:30 PM Wednesday afternoon.
