A lot of people decided to take in Family Day at the Grey Roots museum, and the Bruce county museum.
In fact, Manager at Grey Roots Brian Manser says they had nearly 900 people come thru the doors on Monday.
That is nearly 800 higher than a normal day.
The Museum thru open the doors and admission was free, with memberships being sold as well at 10 per cent off.
Manser says Bruce county museum also experienced a big crowd on the holiday.
No numbers were given on the new memberships taken out, but Manser is optimistic 2009 will be an even better year at Grey Roots museum than 2008 was.
