This year’s Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce Annual General meeting will feature a high profile keynote speaker.
Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty is scheduled to speak at tonight’s meeting at Stone Tree.
Tickets for the event are 100 dollars each.
McGuinty is expected to talk about his government’s new budget and will be glad-handing his way around the tables to meet Chamber members.
The Past President of the Owen Sound Chamber Paul Neville says a committee has submitted a number of initiatives to the Premier for him to review.
It highlights how Grey Bruce is not impacted as severely by the recession compared with the GTA or auto communities like Oshawa and Windsor.
Neville says the initiatives call on the government to review what this area is doing right, and see if it can be expanded in communities hard hit by the recession.
The Chamber Annual General Meeting begins at 5 PM.
If you still would like tickets, try the Chamber office at 519-376-6261.
Bayshore Broadcasting News will be at tonight’s meeting.
