Here’s a way to celebrate Family Day and help a local cause.
The Rocky Raccoon Restaurant is celebrating its first year in business in Owen Sound by helping raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Grey Bruce.
Owner and chef Robin Pradhan says they’ve been supporting the society for the past nine years or so since they were at the top of the Peninsula in Dyers Bay.
He says he was impressed the way staff would come all the way up there just to accept a modest cheque.
Pradhan says a portion of the proceeds from Monday night’s dinner will be donated to the local Alzheimer Society.
He says the community has shown the restaurant tremendous support over the past year and they’d like to give back.
