The Shelburne Splash Pad got a little closer to the goal of raising money for the project.
A bottle drive held last week, asked residents to drop bottles and cans off at Shelburne Family Chiropractic.
The initiative brought in 6-thousand cans and bottles which raised over $840 dollars for the splash pad.
A group of volunteers, the Rotary Club of Shelburne, and the team at the Shelburne Legion helped to transport them all.
There will be future fundraisers coming up to help raise the $300-thousand for the Shelburne Splash Pad.
