Police in Barrie have issued a hefty ticket for violating the Quarantine Act.
Police allege that a resident had people over for a party even though he was supposed to be under 14 day quarantine after returning to Canada.
The man got a thousand dollar ticket.
Barrie police tweeted, “Follow the law or pay the ticket”.

The Quarantine Act says you can’t leave your place of quarantine unless absolutely necessary (to seek medical attention) & you can’t entertain guests or host a party.
