The Province will give childcare centres a little extra help come September.
Today Premier Doug Ford announced $234.6 million to help safely reopen childcare centres across the province.
Ford says as a father he knows there’s nothing more important than the safety of a child.
“That’s’ $234 million on the table to help licensed childcare providers step up their screening and cleaning practices, purchase PPE to help keep the kids and staff safe and hire extra staff as needed,” said Ford.
When asked about reducing class sizes this fall, Ford reiterated that his government’s plan for back to school is the best in the country.
Nothing is more important than keeping our children safe. As more parents head back to work, we are partnering with the federal government to provide $230M to keep children and staff safe in child care and early years centres. #KeepingKidsSafe https://t.co/HTAniRTcsA pic.twitter.com/LRBY1Y4ROk
