Barrie has temporarily closed a section of The Great Trail (formerly known as the Trans-Canada Trail) due to damage sustained from the recent storms and extreme surface water run-off.
The City has closed the section that runs alongside of Whiskey Creek, between Little Avenue and Yonge Street.
The restoration work on this section of The Great Trail is scheduled to start next week.
