At least 51 hand sanitizers are being recalled by Health Canada.
The Agency says there are, “Certain hand sanitizers made with ethanol or denaturants that are not acceptable ingredients for use in hand sanitizers.”
It says they may pose health risks.
Health Canada says possible reactions to the ingredients include dermatitis, such as skin irritation and cracking; eye irritation; upper respiratory system irritation; and headaches.
The organization has a growing list on its website and says Canadians should consult the list regularly.
The agency is asking people to report any adverse health effects to Health Canada.
