As the Civic long weekend kicks off, the OPP will be stepping up enforcement on area highways as usual.
Officers will be looking for violations of the Big Four: Impaired Driving, Use of Seat Belts, Distracted Driving and Speeding.
However, particular attention will be paid to the Move Over Law, which requires motorists to slow down and move over when approaching an emergency vehicle, ambulance, fire service vehicle, police vehicle or tow truck
The fine for a first offence is $400.00.
