The County of Huron is hoping to find efficiencies and collaborations, as it undergoes a service review.
KPMG Consultants have been brought in for the review, and will speak with county staff and elected officials about operations and municipal services.
Warden Jim Ginn tells Country 104.9 News the provincial government provided funding to find efficiencies, something he tells us suggests funding cuts are on the way.
Elected officials with the county opted to use the funds to undertake a service review.
Ginn says one area to be examined will be snow plowing, adding Huron County spends more on winter plowing than neighbouring Bruce and Grey counties, who share similar climates.
KPMG will present a final report to County Council in July.
