The Avon Maitland District School Board has approved their strategic plan, which will guide the board’s work between 2020-2024.
The plan focuses on three tenets: being prepared, being well, and being engaged.
In April, the AMDSB asked for feedback on the then-draft plan, and several small changes were made before trustees approved the plan at their latest meeting.
The plan aims to increase achievement in numeracy and literacy, as well as attendance rates in both students and teachers.
The AMDSB says the plan looks to focus on the whole student, including mental health and well-being.
