Blue Bayfield is the winner of the 2020 Conservationist of the Year Award from the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
In addition to a handcrafted award, Ausable Bayfield Conservation is donating towards a tree and plaque at a Commemorative Woods.
The winners also received scrolls of recognition from the MPP and MP for Huron-Bruce, Lisa Thompson and Ben Lobb, respectively.
Blue Bayfield and its community partners have installed five water bottle refilling stations in the village of Bayfield and distributed 2,500 refillable water bottles.
Over three summers, there have been more than 70,000 refills at the water stations.
