Starting today, indoor visits can resume to the province’s long-term care homes.
However, there are new rules to follow.
Up to two people at a time can visit a resident at the long-term care facilities provided they both have a negative COVID-19 test within the two weeks prior to their visit.
All visits must also be pre-arranged.
Ontario’s long-term care homes have been hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic with outbreaks killing more than 1,700 people and prompting the government to create a commission to investigate.
