A suspected drunk driver in Midland has been busted by his own dog.
Police say at 830 last night, a pick-up truck with a broken tail light was stopped on Fuller Avenue and while the officer was speaking with the driver, his dog managed to escape from the vehicle.
As they began searching for the dog, the officer noticed the man showing signs of alcohol consumption and a 60-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving.
The dog was found a short time later.
The driver’s licence of the accused has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
The accused was released from police custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on August 27, 2020.
