A couple of suspected drunk drivers have been arrested in Orillia.
Shortly after 10 o’clock on Friday night, police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Ramara Road 46 at County Road 169.
Police say one driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the other driver, a 20 year old oro-medonte man, was arrested for impaired driving and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
About half an hour later, a concerned citizen called police about a possible impaired driver in the drive thru of a business on Highway 12.
Officers arrived and quickly arrested a 33 year old Newmarket man.
Meanwhile in Midland on Friday night, an officer stopped a vehicle being driven aggressively on Balm Beach Road, where a 28 year old man was arrested for operation while impaired.
In addition, Orillia OPP seized alcohol seized on the Trent Severn Waterway this weekend.
Police say during a vessel inspection on Saturday, Liquor Licence Act charges were laid against the operator of a boat, who submitted to a “roadside” test and was under the limit but had alcohol in his system.
