There will be temporary parking and lane restrictions on Main Street in Huntsville today.
Starting at 3 this afternoon until tomorrow morning, all street parking on both sides of Main Street from Lorne Street to the Bridge will be temporarily unavailable so ground penetrating radar work can take place.
It’s to help in the design for the Main Street Upgrades and Streetscaping project.
It is often used to detect plastic, fiber optic, cable TV lines, water and concrete sewer lines, as well as bedrock elevations.
Meanwhile, a rolling closure of King William Street between Hanes and Cann Street is expected to start today and continue for the next 4 weeks for sewer main replacement.
Plus, there are a couple of road closures along Bayshore Boulevard in Huntsville this week.
The first takes place until 2 today from Lighthouse Point Road for a culvert replacement.
The second will take place tomorrow, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at Bayshore Boulevard, west of Lakewood Park Road.
There are some upcoming temp & long term road closures, detours and parking restrictions starting May 20th. Visit our website for road works closure details: https://t.co/5tpAFLv78z pic.twitter.com/Y3FXj2AO6f
