Education Minister Stephen Lecce says at-home learning will continue and Grade K to 12 students will receive report cards and move on to graduation while schools remain closed.
Stage 2 of the Province’s reopening framework will see licensed daycare/childcare centres open safely.
Emergency childcare will continue for frontline workers in the time being
Overnight camps will remain closed too for now.
Assuming trends in key public health indicators continue to improve, summer day camps, both indoor and outdoor, may be permitted in July and August of this year with strict health and safety guidelines.
In Ontario, schools have been closed since March 14th.
The tentative plan now is to reopen them in September, but that announcement will be confirmed later on in the summer.
