Two people have been arrested, after they were allegedly caught with drugs in a parking lot near Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst.
On Friday night, police were called about a suspicious vehicle that was parked near the correctional facility, since there were concerns about contraband entering the prison.
Officers located the vehicle and as a result of their investigation, the two occupants were taken into custody.
A 45 year old Ottawa woman has been charged with impaired driving and possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing, while the passenger, a 23 year old Ottawa man, also faces the latter charge.
