You now have until July 31st to pay your taxes in Bracebridge without any penalties or interest.
Earlier, the municipality had extended its no-penalties deadline to May 31st due to the impact of Covid-19 during these difficult times.
Today Council extended the deadline again with Mayor Graydon Smith saying council understands that paying property taxes right now may have a detrimental effect on residents.
“It is for that reason that we have made the decision to extend the waiving of penalties for those that were unable to make their property tax payment on time,” he says.
The penalty waiving decision is to help those most in need.
Property owners who can pay are encouraged to do so.
