A major construction project on Highway 400 in Barrie is moving ahead this week.
The highway will be closed overnight in both directions between Mapleview Drive and Essa Road for the rest of this week, so work can continue on the Harvie Road, Big Bay Point Road overpass.

The highway will close for intervals of 15 minutes between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., so workers can install bridge girders.
The bridge is expected to be open this fall.
