
The federal government has announced a $2.5 billion dollar investment for seniors to help during the pandemic.
Seniors who qualify for Old Age Security will be eligible for a one time payment of $300, while seniors eligible for the Guaranteed Income Supplement, they will get an extra $200.
If you’re eligible for both, you get both.
There’s also another 20 million dollars being invested for the New Horizons for Seniors program.
Today’s announcement is expected to help up to 7 million Canadians.
