Two police officers were assaulted in an incident in Wasaga Beach on the weekend.
OPP say that on Saturday, just before 2 a.m., an officer pulled over a vehicle on Mosley Street.
Police say the man behind the wheel refused to identify himself and assaulted the officer.
The driver tried to flee on foot and was confronted by another officer who OPP say was also assaulted.
The officers gained control of the situation and arrested the man.
A search of the vehicle revealed over 36 hundred dollars in cash.
OPP say the man tried to stash a small plastic bag containing suspected cocaine in the rear seat of the police cruiser.
A 21 year old man from Scarborough is charged.
The police officers were not injured.
