Yet another traffic stop in Orillia has led to drugs.
Police say they stopped a vehicle on Monday night on Colborne Street, and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, marijuana, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.
Police arrested and charged Jesse TAYLOR, age 24, of Newmarket with:
● Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the
Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
● Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances
Act;
● Possession of Proceed Obtained by Crime contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;
● Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code;
● Possession for the Purpose of Distributing contrary to Section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act; and
● Distribute Illicit Cannabis contrary to Section 9(1)(a)(iv) of the Cannabis Act.
He appeared in court yesterday for a bail hearing.
