Repairs and upgrades have been approved for schools in Huron County.
At their latest meeting, the Avon Maitland District School Board approved the re-roofing of the cafeteria and west corridor of Goderich District Collegiate Institute.
The roofing work at GDCI will cost approximately $306 thousand.
Mechanical upgrades have been scheduled for F.E. Madill Secondary School, in Wingham.
Work includes replacing the existing condensing units, energy recovery ventilator and
exhaust fans in Science classrooms.
Lighting fixtures in two classrooms will be replaced with new LED lighting and controls.
That will run the AMDSB approximately $233 thousand.
