Shelburne Police are asking for help from the public following the theft of a Trench Box that was being stored in the town.
The box weighs between 1500 to 2000 lbs and is 6 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet with silver steel panels and blue steel struts.
Authorities say due to the size of the box, heavy equipment would have been needed to move it.
It’s valued at around $7000.00 and $10,000.00 and was stolen some time between April 1st and 3rd.
They say a Trench Box is a piece of equipment used when digging trenches in the ground.
The large and very heavy units prevent the trench from caving in while workers are busy underground.
Anybody with information is asked to call Shelburne Police Service at 519-925-3312 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
