Orillia OPP have been conducting proactive traffic enforcement in school zones – and within a 35 minute period yesterday three drivers were charged with speeding.
The drivers who were travelling between 55km/h and 70km/h in the posted 40km/h zone.
Community safety zones are designed areas commonly located near schools, daycare, playgrounds, parks, hospitals, and collision-prone areas. In some cases fines can be doubled.
