One person has died in a single vehicle collision in Northern Bruce Peninsula.
Emergency services responded to the fatal incident on Bruce Road 9 near Duke Lane — south of Lion’s Head — around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday evening.
“Upon arrival, emergency responders located a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered the ditch,” Grey Bruce OPP Const. Kody Lyons says.
The OPP say the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the victim as a 36-year-old individual from Lion’s Head.
“The OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release.
Bruce Road 9 was closed in the area of the collision for several hours yesterday and overnight, but has since re-opened.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
