The City of Owen Sound has installed two new public-accessible automated external defibrillators (AED SaveStations) across the city following a donation by the Tyson Downs Association (TDBeAT), with support from the Owen Sound Attack.
One is on the south exterior wall along 8th Street East at City Hall, and the other is on the water-facing wall of the Order of Good Cheer washrooms at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park.
These AED SaveStations provide 24/7 access to life-saving equipment in some of the community’s busiest outdoor destinations.
The city now has three AED SaveStations, with the first unit installed in Harrison Park in June.
The Tyson Downs Association’s TDBeAT program offers free CPR and AED awareness training and education to youth aged 16 to 21, helping equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to respond in critical situations.
