A traffic stop in the Municipality of Chatsworth resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and four firearms, and three people have been charged.
On Sept. 29, a traffic stop conducted by the South Bruce OPP on Highway 10 in Chatsworth resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, bulk currency, and four firearms.
The estimated street value of the suspected controlled substances is more than $500,000, and the seized property is valued at over $25,000.
A 32-year-old from Durham and a 33-year-old from Christian Island First Nation face eight charges each, while a 30-year-old from Owen Sound is charged with four counts.
The three accused were arrested and held for bail hearings.
Officers from the Grey Bruce OPP community street crime unit (CSCU), Wellington County OPP CSCU, and Grey Bruce OPP detachment assisted with the investigation.
