Saugeen Shores United Housing For All has planned an all candidates meeting on housing.
Organizers say the sole topic for this all candidates meeting is housing only.
It’s set for Tuesday Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Port Elgin United Church at 840 Bruce Street.
They say each candidate will have three minutes to introduce themselves and present their position on the housing issue.
That will be followed by questions.
United Housing For All is a community-based housing advocacy group based in Saugeen Shores. It was formed in 2021. It says in a release, “United Housing For All is an advocacy and education organization. Its role is to research the local problem, bring people and organizations together, advocate with government, educate the community and encourage practical solutions that make it possible for people across different ages and incomes to find a place to live in Saugeen Shores. ”
The municipal and school board election is set for October 26th.
