The first of two Owen Sound municipal candidates meetings hosted by the Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce is coming up next week.
The Chamber will be welcoming the city’s mayoral candidates to a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, where voters will be able to meet candidates and hear their perspectives on key municipal issues.
The Owen Sound Chamber Mayoral All-Candidates Meeting starts with an open house from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., when you can meet with those seeking the city’s top political office.
The formal all-candidates meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The six registered candidates for mayor in Owen Sound are: Ray Botten, Jodi King, Carol Merton, Mike Seiler, Richard Thomas and Andrii Zvorygin.
Longtime mayor Ian Boddy is not seeking re-election.
The Chamber is also hosting an all-candidates meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, when Owen Sound’s council candidates will also come together to speak ahead of the 2026 municipal and school board elections.
Election day is Monday, Oct. 26.
