The 2026-27 fundraising campaign is officially underway for the United Way of Perth-Huron, with an ambitious fundraising goal.
Officials announced their campaign goal of $2,682,720, above the $2.56 million raised through last year’s fundraising campaign.
Last year’s campaign total was in addition to $2.27 raised through United Housing, which seeks to create mixed-income rental units across Huron and Perth counties.
Funds raised support over 30 local programs and organizations working to address stable housing, access mental health supports, and building connections within communities.
Among the biggest fundraising campaigns for the Perth-Huron United Way is the “Coldest Night of the Year” walk, which raised more than $535 thousand in 2026.
“Across Perth-Huron, we’re seeing more people experiencing financial anxiety than ever before. Too many individuals and families are worried about how they’ll pay their bills, and many say they couldn’t cover their expenses for even a month if they lost their job,” says Executive Director Ryan Erb.
“These realities remind us that housing and income are the baseline social issues that impact everything else in a person’s life.
