The OPP report a moose is on the loose in Collingwood.
He’s been named Elliot and has been seen along the waterfront trails and neighbouring streets.
Police are reminding the public to exercise caution if they encounter the moose.
Residents are asked to:
• Keep dogs leashed at all times
• Do not approach or attempt to feed the moose
• Maintain a safe distance
• Give the animal plenty of space to move freely
Police say moose are wild animals and can be unpredictable if they feel threatened.
They advise the public to allow Elliot to continue on his way undisturbed.
