The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is welcoming a new Wiarton Willie.
The town has brought in a new albino groundhog to fill the role of the famous prognosticating groundhog.
The new Willie will take over for the 2027 Wiarton Willie Festival, which has been taking place for more than 70 years.
The previous Willie passed away on March 10th, which launched a search of a new albino groundhog to take over the role.
The arrival for the most recent Willie brings a new chapter to the Wiarton Willie Festival.
