
Caledon OPP has charged three people following an investigation into a series of break and enter thefts.
Over this past summer, a group of people had engaged in multiple break-in thefts at industrial and commercial properties throughout the Town of Caledon and Durham Region.
On Thursday, September 10th, the Community Street Crime Unit, with the help of police officers from Collingwood, Huronia West, Nottawasaga, and Southern Georgian Bay, Caledon OPP carried out search warrants at three addresses in Toronto.
Two people from Scarborough, a 25-year-old and a 35-year-old were charged, along with a 36-year-old Toronto resident.
The charges include five counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and theft over $5,000. One individual was also charged with two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
All three were held for a bail hearing.
