Saugeen Shores Police have laid an assault charge after an incident at a local business.
They say just before 11 at night this past Thursday, September 3rd, police took a report of a man who allegedly entered a local restaurant and assaulted an employee with a baseball bat.
Police arrived and arrested the suspect.
They say during lodging, the accused spat on officers.
A 35-year-old man of Saugeen Shores has been charged with assault with a weapon and assaulting a peace officer.
He was held for a bail hearing and was released on an order to reside outside of Saugeen Shores.
Police say the victim had minor injuries.
