Saugeen Shores Police say several items were stolen from a vehicle in the area of Maplewood Drive in Port Elgin.
It happened this past Saturday. Saugeen Shores Police say they also responded to a trespassing call at a local retailer the same day.
A 25-year-old Bruce County resident was arrested at the store. Police allege several bank cards stolen from the vehicle in Port Elgin earlier were found during a search of the accused.
“As a result of these incidents, a 25-year-old from Bruce County has been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime,” Saugeen Shores Police say in a release.
Police say the accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing, due to previous pending charges.
