Bruce-Grey Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff is hosting a finance and economic roundtable with Conservative Shadow Minister for Finance, Michael Chong.
It’s scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd.
As a shadow minister, Chong (MP for Wellington-Halton Hills North) is a member of the official opposition whose job it is to examine and scrutinize the government’s mirroring ministry, and lead questions on relevant topics in the House of Commons.
Ruff says the roundtable will bring together the local business community and financial experts to discuss the economic challenges and opportunities facing Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, share local perspectives, and exchange ideas on how federal policy can support federal tax reform, economic growth and prosperity in the region.
The discussion will focus on the federal government’s role in advancing economic opportunities and needed tax reform for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound and the country.
The event will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Sound Room at the Bayshore Community Centre, 1900 3rd Avenue East, Owen Sound.
The local business community and experienced financial experts are invited to attend. Please RSVP at: https://www.alexruffmp.ca/2026roundtable.
