Chapman’s Ice Cream is walking the talk when it comes to buying Canadian.
Last year when the tariff war started, the company vowed to seek out alternative sources for its ingredients and move away from sourcing from the US.
Today the company says it’s on track to replace more than 70% of its American ingredients with Canadian or non-U.S. sources by mid-2027.
They’ve also partnered with an Ontario company to make sugar cones – something nobody in Canada produced and now boasts they are the only company in Canada with a 100 per cent Canadian cone line.
Last but not least, CEO Ashley Chapman says there will be no price increases for two years.
