A senior and a dog have died, following a collision near Vanastra.
OPP say they were called Friday night to a section of Highway 4 just north of Vanastra Road, after reports a pedestrian and their dog were struck by a pickup truck.
According to reports, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the deceased’ dog was gravely injured and was euthanized at the scene.
The deceased is a 72-year-old male resident of Central Huron, police say.
The cause of the collision is being investigated, but no charges have been announced by Huron OPP.
