There’s a new provincial appointee on Grey Bruce’s recently re-established Board of Health.
Former Waterloo Region Chief Administrative Officer and current Grey Highlands resident Michael Murray will join the board on a two-year term.
“Mr. Murray has extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He served for 28 years with the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, including as its Chief Administrative Officer from 2004 to 2020,” Grey Bruce Public Health says in a release.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kieran Moore returned governance control to the Grey Bruce Board of Health in July, after exercising its powers for the past year due to concerns about the board’s governance, leadership and financial management.
Kincardine Mayor Ken Craig is serving as chair of the reconvened Board of Health. Six other municipal politicians and three provincial appointees also sit on the new board.
