A tip from the public has seen a 38 year old man charged by Barrie Police for impaired.
The accused, from Oro-Medonte was found taking a snooze in his running car last night.
After waking him and speaking briefly, the man took off on an ill-advised flight from police – K9 officers located him quickly.
In addition to impaired, the man faces failure or refusal to comply with a demand and driving under suspension charges.
Barrie Police want to remind motorists if you suspect a driver is impaired, call 911 with the location and any details you can provide.
