The Ministry of Labour has begun investigating a workplace fatality that occurred in West Grey on July 28.
Emergency services received a call at about noon regarding an incident along Grey Road 4 in Durham.
According to West Grey Police, a worker died after being electrocuted when a boom lift came into contact with a power line. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
Power was knocked out to much of West Grey for a few hours following the incident, but has since been restored.
As the investigation is ongoing by the ministry, West Grey Police say they cannot provide further information.
